Yes, we have a burning
obsession with Twin Peaks.

LAWLESS VINTAGE TWIN PEAKS

If you know us personally, you probably know we have matching tattoos of the moment Audrey Horne swaps her saddle shoes for red pumps; you probably know we have each viewed the original season more times than Garth Brooks has played in Edmonton, and you definitely know we would do anything to have lunch with Lynch.

*And if you DO know us personally and you haven’t popped your cherry (pie) yet, heaven help you.

The face we make when someone hasn’t seen Twin Peaks. Not even mad, just shocked and concerned.

We threw a party when the new season premiered - like not a party at our house, but an EVENT at a VENUE with costumes, Twin Peaks-themed visuals & music (S/O to Evan Pearce and Taz Dhariwal) and more cherry pie than even we could consume.

*Honestly, one of us will most likely walk down the god damned aisle to the Twin Peaks theme song.

Naturally, we’re drawn to the early 90s Pacific Northwest attire that is so aptly displayed throughout the show; the Lawless collection boasts a daunting amount of plaid everything, oversized coats, Pendelton, “good girl” sweaters and knee-length skirts.

In the Fall of 2018 we finally put the pieces to work with a Twin Peaks-themed photo shoot at Three Boars in Edmonton. After pouring over the photos we both agreed that a visual homage was not enough - we CAN get nerdier!

Enter: The next chapter(s) of our life’s work. Twin Peaks Fan Fiction coming in hot. Fire walk with us. LOL.

*…and yes, this will go on forever.

The day after the mysterious letter had arrived at each of their individual residences, the young ladies of Twin Peaks gathered at the Great Northern Hotel, as instructed in their handwritten notes. Unsure of what to expect - especially after the dark events of the preceding few weeks - the girls gathered hushedly, bowed together in the corner as the last of the days sun cast a soft halo around each of their heads.

They could only speculate as to the author of the letters and wonder if it could all be connected to the recent arrival of Agent Dale Cooper in their town, and the series of dramatic events that had unfolded since.

Donna and Audrey weren’t prone to drinking much, but ditching high school to get married and grow up too fast had given Shelly a taste for whiskey. As the other girls waited anxiously for their ominous admirer to appear, Shelly went to the bar to fetch a bottle - a little nip of something strong seemed appropriate to warm the impending darkness of the Pacific Northwest night.

The three friends sat and waited as the coffee grew colder and the bourbon grew warmer.

Donna, overwhelmed by the intensity of the past few weeks, stepped into the next room to clear her head from the bustle of the hotel bar. Dizzy with anticipation, she focused on her reflection in the mirror for a moment to catch her breath and steady herself.

“Quit worrying - not everything needs to be laced with darkness and drama, Donna” she reassured herself through gritted teeth as she walked back in to join her friends.

While the girls made anxious small talk and nervously sipped their libations, Donna sat in her thoughts, pining for everything to go back to the way it was before.

After what seemed like an eternity had passed, it became clear that the cloak-and-dagger sender would not be showing themselves as the letters had promised. The girls, communicating with only a single glance, retreated to their respective homes through the crisp night air of Twin Peaks.
